The cat has a very delicate anatomy with exquisite fur that covers its apt muscles that are responsible for providing the cat with amazing reflexes. The cat is a carnivorous animal and hence has very sharp teeth and strong jaws which the cat needs to hunt its prey. They also posses claws which are often hidden, under the paws. Cats are very well known for their excellent hearing skills and also for their ability to use their vision in dark conditions which allows them to hunt during night.
Domestic cats are of various types, sizes and color which allow humans to breed them in order to establish distinct and separate breeds. The cat is a very sociable animal as it?s known to get along well with humans as well as other cats too.
Cats have been known to be human pets as early as 3500 BC when they were domesticated by Egyptians. Infact in the Egyptian culture the cat gained the status of a god, the cat was worshipped and sorrow was marked whenever a cat died. Then came a time when the cat was associated with evil and witchcraft and was usually shunned, which later on ceased. Over the years people have developed a love for this furry and soft animal to an extent that in many western countries, cat shows are held where cats are put on display.
