Cute, furry and lovable are just a few names given to this kind of breed of cats. Persian cats are the most adored pets and animals in this planet. It is one of the oldest known breeds of cats and has been given the name ?longhair? or ?Persian longhair? in many different countries. Their origin starts from the nineteen sixties when a trader namely Pietro Della Valle imported the ancestors of Persian cats from Persia to Italy.

 

At the same time many other traders imported Persian cats in other different localities which increased the population of these Persian cats all over the world. Initially the Persian cats differentiated in physical features with those available today but a lot of cross breeding have caused versatility in the breeds of Persian cats.

 

These Persian beauties can be identified and fallen for from miles. With their extremely long thick coat of fur, short small legs, large eyes, parted ears set on a wide head and an extremely foreshortened muzzle; they can conquer almost anyone?s heart in an instant. But Persian cats have the difficulty to breathe since their short muzzle causes dust and debris to cover their nostrils, usually.

 

Persian cats are profound to be very quiet and affectionate, they are the calmest and docile breed and do not demand for attention of their owners. Their cobbled body style keeps them from jumping great heights. Owning a Persian cat is not a simple task, it requires an extensive amount of grooming and caring. This requires brushing them, washing them daily or else they get infected by germs.
